46" Striped Bass in Boston Harbor

Boston Harbor Fishing Report –July 29th – August 4th 2018

This week was a mixed bag of fishing with everything from schoolies to the highlight of one of the trips with a 46″ Striped bass weighing in at 35lbs. What we did find was the early morning bite started to fizzle out and many of the fish we’ve caught have come later in the day or in some cases after 1pm. The blitzes once they did start up in the harbor were still good on either all white deceivers on the fly or Hogy skinny 6″ on swimbait hooks.

The later in the day we’ve started to look around it seems the more and more seals we’re starting to see. On one trip we couldn’t do anywhere without at least 2 seals popping up within a couple mins, making for a lot of running around to find clear water.
