The albies are in and they’re in thick. That is when you can find where they’re feeding… We covered a lot of ground this week searching for both blitzing albies and subsurface feeding fish. Looking at the charts after the case, we covered almost 150 miles and ran from Wood’s Hole to Hyannisport and did a couple full circles around Martha’s vineyard. All that effort wasn’t for a loss though as we had some truly epic days with 30+ albies per person! It’s always a good sign when you have to take Ibuprofen the day after!

On spinning gear they were hitting Albie Snax, Hogy epoxies, and Deadly Dicks. The predominant bait was big schools of peanut bunker with the occasional schools of bay anchovies. On the fly they were much more selective, but would hit small hoo flies.
