Taking a break from the cape to get back to our home grounds of Boston Harbor, we ran a couple trips throughout the week. Boston Harbor has been pretty consistently producing schoolies on the fly in the 16-22″ range. Surface blitzes are around but short lived for the most part and have been heavily crowded.
We were able to mark some absolute monsters in the outer islands that looked to be keyed in on lobster or crabs hanging right off the bottom for as long as we were there. The smaller fish in the bays and channels looked to be keyed in on juvenile herring and were enticed by smaller white deceivers.
